Hola and welcome! We are Veronica and Christian Munoz, and we are honored you stopped by our page. We believe our love story and the path to adoption has been weaved together by God for a very long time. We are grounded in our faith, family, and kindness for others. We both come from Hispanic backgrounds and have large diverse families on both sides. Most of our immediate families live here in Indiana. We are both bilingual as Christian is from Honduras, and Veronica’s family is originally from the Dominican Republic.
We were married on October 3, 2020, and have a pup named Mumford, whom we adore. Though it’s interesting the two of us would be born worlds apart, live in NY, to eventually meet in Indiana years later… It’s no coincidence. More on our story and who we are on the next tab.
We met through Veronica’s sister, who was dating Christian’s best friend around 2013. We established a friendship for many years, where we saw each other often in social situations like the Drumstick dash, dinner with friends, or the occasional times Christian would fix Veronica’s car (and shake his head at the condition of her tires). It wasn’t until 2017 that the “stars aligned.” After assisting Veronica with some housework and spending some more one on one time together, they fell in love at a fourth of July party (cue the fireworks). Christian proposed on Valentine’s Day during a trip to Honduras, and we were married 8 months later.
One of the things that makes our marriage work so well, is that our personality differences complement each other, making it a strong partnership. Christian’s introverted demeanor and patience complement Veronica’s outgoing personality and ambition perfectly. We’ve supported each other through difficult times, including multiple miscarriages, and found strength and guidance in our faith. This journey led us to adoption, solidifying our desire to become parents. We’re eager to offer a child a loving, secure home surrounded by laughter as well as support from our families, friends, and our community.
We cherish time with our families and friends, enjoying traditional home-cooked meals prepared by our moms (each amazing cooks), going on walks together, and playing with our dog – the notorious sock thief of our home.
Christian is the man of my dreams. Though there were many things about him that I was attracted to, he won me over with the goodness of his soul. He combines physical strength with a gentle and humble heart. He has the world’s most charming smile, and his love and commitment to me and his family is unbreakable.
Christian creates a sense of peace, security, and stability for those around him. He loves to work with his hands and figure out how to do something. If he doesn’t know how to do something he will quickly learn and is patient to ensure it’s done right. He is often there to help a friend with car issues, construction or home projects, painting, or just an encouraging word when needed.
He LOVES soccer (Real Madrid Fan). He enjoys spending time watching games with his dad and friends; when able, he participates in a soccer league during the season to play himself. He’s got a great sense of humor and loves to spend time reminiscing with his family and friends.
When I came up with the idea of getting our dog, Mumford, Christian wasn’t as thrilled with the idea. However, he fell in love with Mumford instantly. It may be strange to some because Mumford is a dog, but watching him “parent” Mumford was affirmation to me of how good of a father he would be one day. He is so patient and attentive to Mumford, ensuring he is well taken care of. I love watching the two of them play for hours, chasing each other around. Mumford adores him just the same.
Veronica, my wonderful wife, fills my heart with joy every day. From the moment we met, I was drawn to her vibrant spirit and the way she makes everyone around her feel seen and valued. Her laughter is infectious, and her warmth has this unique ability to brighten any room. But it’s not just her charm that captured me – it’s the depth of her kindness and how genuinely she cares for those she loves.
Veronica has an extraordinary way of bringing people together. Whether it’s organizing family gatherings or just being there for someone in need, she instinctively knows how to make everyone feel special and cared for. Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail are unmatched, and she does it all with such grace and love.
What truly inspires me is the way she balances strength with gentleness. She is fiercely devoted to her family, always advocating for those she loves with unwavering support. But what really stands out is how she leads with both compassion and quiet confidence. Every day, she encourages me to be the best version of myself, and I know she will do the same for a child.
I am deeply grateful for the life we share together. Veronica is my soulmate, and I have no doubt she will be an incredible, loving mother.
Family is so important to us, and we love ours so much! We value the sacrifices our parents made to give us a better life.
Christian grew up in Honduras and is the youngest of 4 kids. His parents worked hard to make a living and eventually moved to the United States with the aspirations to build a better life for their kids and provide them with more opportunities. When they moved to the states, they strongly supported and relied on each other, further fortifying their family unit. Christian loves to spend time with his family, as they always bring out the best in him. His mom loves to entertain, and can often be found pulling them in for a dance. His family loves to spend time around the table, often playing a game of Mexican train dominoes.
Veronica’s parents are from the Dominican Republic, but they raised their 6 kids in New York before making their way to Indiana. Veronica’s mom is a very strong woman and is Veronica’s hero. She had a passion for building a better life and future for her family and wasn’t afraid to step out of societal norms. Veronica and her siblings grew up surrounded by extended family members who filled their home daily, so there was always so much love to go around. Veronica’s family loves to cook, and her mom’s potato salad is a family favorite. Much of Veronica’s family lives nearby so they can see each other frequently. They talk daily, and they gather often for celebrations or just to catch up over a warm cup of coffee. With over 16 nieces and nephews ranging from ages 1 to 20, there is always something great to celebrate.
When able, Christian and Veronica love to take trips with their families and have recently traveled to different parts of Honduras, took a summer vacation/visit to see family and friends in South Carolina, and visited the Grand Canyon on a “siblings’ trip” with Veronica’s family. Planning is underway for 2025, but above all else regardless of where we go, we just enjoy creating memories with each other, whether it be in a new place or in the sanctuary of our homes. We love to visit different parks often with our nieces and nephews, do pool time or splash pads in the summer, and cozy up for family movie nights.
Besides our large family gatherings, we also prioritize time as a couple. We enjoy spending a holy hour together each week at church, going out or staying in for dinner, working on home projects, and taking Mumford on long walks.
We moved to a new community last year and absolutely love our neighborhood and the surrounding area!
Our home is situated on a cul-de-sac, near various walking trails, including a trail which connects to a kids’ playground and a community pool. Our street is wonderfully diverse, with families from various backgrounds, many with young children. Mumford, our dog, loves to say hello to our neighbors as they walk by our fenced yard.
Our church community is conveniently located just 8 minutes from our home. We became part of an adoption ministry there last year, which supports anyone touched by adoption. The ministry has been incredibly helpful and informative for us throughout our adoption journey.
Our broader community is filled with parks, playgrounds, and family-friendly businesses offering indoor play areas, all within a short distance from our house. We cherish the sense of belonging to a tight-knit community while having access to so many wonderful activities for the family nearby!
Our commitment is to fully dedicate ourselves to a child, aiming to foster a loving family environment where God’s presence is central. We prioritize kindness, encourage creativity, ensure laughter is abundant, and uphold honesty and trust. We strive to build confidence and share endless love. From sports, to music, or the arts, we hope to have fun as a family and hope to explore the world!
Veronica plans to take a 14-week maternity leave to adjust, welcome, and bond with a new baby at home. After returning to work, the plan is to rely on a daycare center just 5 minutes from home, which her niece attends as well, for the baby’s long-term care during work hours. With Veronica working from home full-time, we’re hopeful for the flexibility needed to prioritize the baby’s needs effectively.
We can’t begin to understand the difficult choices ahead of you, but please know that we are already praying for you and your baby, no matter what decision you make. If you decide to proceed with adoption, we want to assure you that your child will be deeply loved and cherished by us, our families, and our community.
We know your decision to place them for adoption comes from a place of selflessness and incredible love, and we honor that with utmost respect. We understand that you are making this choice because you believe it is the best option for your child’s future, and we are committed to ensuring they have a life full of opportunity, joy, and love.
If you choose us to be the family that raises your child, we commit to being loving and supportive parents, to respecting and honoring your child’s history, including their adoption story and your role in it. We vow to encourage their dreams, support their ambitions, and create a nurturing environment for them to thrive in. We also welcome the opportunity for open communication if that’s something you’d like, and will always ensure your child knows how deeply loved they are by both of us.
Your courage, strength and love are the foundation upon which our family will grow, and we will never take that for granted.
