We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with all our clients – adoptive, expectant and birth families. As we get to know them, we hope to gain insight into their family dynamics and how we can best support them.
This week, we want to share “Kaitlin’s” story with you. Kaitlin is a birth mom who previously made an adoption plan for a child. A couple years later, she found herself pregnant again, in a very difficult situation. She again reached out to us and Amy, spent time with her providing support and options counseling. Kaitlin ultimately chose an adoptive family for her baby,
Two days later, she went into early labor. Because her family situation was so strained, she called Amy to be with her during this scary time. Kaitlin, unfortunately, lost the baby, but Amy spent three days in the hospital with her, providing support, advocating for her with the doctors and hospital staff, and helping navigate her family dynamics.
It is impossible to assign a value to the time Amy was able to spend with Kaitlin. Our commitment to the families we serve is unparalleled. The ONLY way this level of service is possible, is through the support of our generous donors. We thank you for your continued support.
