Adoptions of Indiana is a full service adoption agency. We provide services such as adoptive preparation/home studies, adoptive education, matching, placement, post-placement supervision, and ongoing adoption education and support to adoptive families, adoption options counseling to expectant parents, pre and post-placement counseling and support services to birth families, search and reconnection services to adult adoptees, and community adoption education.

Did you know Adoptions of Indiana is a nonprofit adoption agency? Our only “bottom line” is building beautiful families and relationships. As a result, our staff are committed to educating expectant women about their rights and equipping them with the knowledge they need to make the best decision they can about the future of their unborn child. We call this Options Counseling.
Through the process of options counseling, expectant women are given the opportunity to carefully think through each possible outcome for themselves and their child, and make an informed choice. At times, this results in an expectant woman choosing to parent. This is a courageous decision.
So, while every conversation may not end in a decision to make an adoption plan, we still see this as a success. According to our mission: Adoptions of Indiana seeks to identify and meet the needs of adoptees and birth and adoptive families through compassionate and comprehensive adoption services. Since our goal and mission is not to maximize placements, we rely on donated funds to keep our doors open. Donations make it possible for us to continue to provide women, throughout the state of Indiana, access to options counseling, ongoing post adoption counseling and support services. Thanks to our generous supporters, birth families NEVER pay for any services with Adoptions of Indiana.

Executive Director
Meg Sterchi is the founder and Executive Director of Adoptions of Indiana. For the last 20 years, she has focused on working with birth and adoptive families, preparing and supporting them throughout the adoption process. She also has personal experience with adoption, as an adoptive mother. She is guided by her philosophy that a major focus of adoption agencies should be to prepare, support and educate all parties involved in an adoption.
